The
Journal of Gene Regulation (JGR) is an open access, peer-reviewed, and fully refereed scholarly journal. The journal publishes original papers, reviews, and communications on all aspects of genomic research, with a particular focus on RNA biology and genome editing techniques. Original manuscripts are expected to provide a clear contribution to advances in the field of genomic research, with a focus on the molecular mechanisms regulating gene expression in human disease. Reviews from all areas of genomic research are acceptable, with an emphasis on new technologies and molecular mechanisms. Reviews that promote new concepts, especially those that challenge existing paradigms, should be sufficiently grounded, carefully linking the topic to the field and critically analyzing recent work.

The goal of the journal is to improve the understanding of gene regulatory mechanisms and to develop new strategies for conquering human diseases. The journal welcomes multidisciplinary submissions, including molecular biology, microbiology, genetics, immunology, bioinformatics, oncology, pharmacology, and comparative studies. Research that can develop the impact of gene regulation to the therapeutics of human disease is highly encouraged.
Material published in JGR considers a wide range of approaches, including in vitro and in vivo mechanistic studies, preclinical studies, clinical studies, and population studies.
