Biography
Prof. X. Frank Zhang is a core faculty member in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, MA, USA. He received his Ph.D. in Physiology and Biophysics from the University of Miami School of Medicine, FL, USA and completed his postdoctoral training at Harvard Medical School, MA, USA. He is an expert in single-molecule detection techniques. His research focuses on the structure and function of cell adhesion molecules, mechanotransduction in the vasculature, and virus-host cell interactions.
